Meet your flower girl
Jen can weave a bouquet like a painter sweeps a canvas, each bloom placed with purpose and passion, creating a tapestry of colour and beauty as unique as the storied soil from which it grew.
Dahlia Jenny - better known as Jen Black - has been growing flowers intensively since 2020, when she and her husband left suburban life for greener pastures on a small farm atop the rolling hills of King, which they dubbed Blackacre.
Together with the help of her handsome horses and fancy chickens, she has steadily and lovingly turned those pastures from fallow brown and green to vibrant shades of crimson, plum, amber, magenta and marmalade.
Jen’s love for her animal friends affords her a unique perspective on the interconnectivity of all living beings (plants, animals, and soil alike), and a special appreciation for the inherent beauty of flower power to make order and arrangement out of chance and chaos.
With respect for their complexity and care for their soil, she grows, selects and arranges beautiful bouquets with attention, love and talent that is second to none.
Based in Schomberg, Jen’s got your flowers.
